Read-only integrations, by design
Every integration Overbriefed connects to runs on read-only OAuth scopes. We pull data in. We never push data back. We don't post messages on your behalf, move pipeline stages, or change records inside your CRM. The journal is downstream of your tools — never upstream.
- GoHighLevel — read-only contact and pipeline access
- Zoom — read-only call and participant metadata
- Fathom + Slack — read-only transcripts and conversations

Your data, your journal, your call to leave anytime
If Overbriefed stops being useful, you can take your journal with you. Full export is built into the product, not an enterprise feature you have to negotiate for. We don't believe in CRM lock-in and we don't believe in trapping customers. The product earns its place every month or it doesn't.
- Full journal export anytime, no negotiation
- Cancel from inside your account
- We don't pool, sell, or share customer data
Governance questions
The honest answers about how your data is handled.
Do you train AI models on my journal data?
No. Your journal data is yours. We don't use it to train models, fine-tune anything, or improve a shared system. The intelligence in your journal is built FOR you, not extracted FROM you.
- Zero training on customer data
- Your data is never pooled with anyone else's
Can I export my entire journal?
Yes — anytime, in a portable format. Your contacts, journal entries, dossiers, and the relationship history we've indexed are all exportable. The export is structured so you can take it somewhere else if you want to.
- Full export anytime
- Portable, structured format — not a screen scrape
What permissions do the integrations actually use?
Read-only access to contacts, conversations, and calendar data on the connected tool. We don't write back, we don't post on your behalf, we don't move pipeline stages. Read-only by design.
- Read-only on every integration
- Never writes back to your tools
Where is the data stored?
Encrypted at rest in cloud infrastructure operated by Overbriefed in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) between every integration source and the journal. Read the Security page for the full posture.
- Encrypted at rest and in transit
- U.S.-based infrastructure
What happens if I delete my account?
Account deletion removes your journal, dossiers, and any cached data we've ingested from your integrations. The deletion is permanent within 30 days. Export first if you want to keep anything.
- Permanent deletion within 30 days
- Export first to keep your data
Who at Overbriefed can see my data?
Nobody, by default. The team only accesses customer data when you explicitly request support help and grant access. Every access is logged. Overbriefed is a small team and support access is deliberate.
- Zero default access by Overbriefed staff
- All support access is logged and consent-based
